Gina Manno
Owner / Director
Gina Manno has been a show stopping dancer for as long as she can remember. She has been trained in all genres of dance. As a young child, Gina competed at big name competitions, like Starpower, with Steppin’ Up Dance Studio in New Jersey. After relocating to Florida, she became the youngest member on the Senior Competition Team at Academy of Dance, Music and Theater. In 2016, Gina was the only freshman to be accepted onto the Warrior Dance Team at Jupiter High School and shortly afterward, was made captain, and excelled there for four years. In October of 2020 Gina took over Jupiter High School’s Warrior Dance Team mid-season. As a first-year coach, she not only excelled through a national pandemic, but led the Warrior Dance Team in mastering 10 interchangeable pom routines and scoring Platinum for both hip hop and pom at the Turn It Around Tour in Fort Myers, Florida. Gina also earned a nomination for best choreography for hip hop along with the Judge’s Choice Award for Fierce Formations. Gina’s second season as the head coach of the Warrior Dance team continued to exceed all expectations. The team juggled football and basketball seasons, pep rallies, special performances, like the Miami HEAT halftime show, and competition season. They attended the Universal Dance Association in Orlando, Florida receiving third in hip hop and fifth in pom. Gina felt as though her team was not meeting the standards to be number one, took it, and ran with it. She saturated her routines with tricks and made sure they were strong and clean. They attended the Florida Cheer and Dance Association’s South Florida Sizzler at Palm Beach Central High School, to which they received First Place Platinum, the Overall Best Performance, and a half paid bid to Nationals. In lou of all the limelight, Gina and the team faced an insufferable loss. A team member, Annie Jorgensen, had lost her life two days prior to the Florida Cheer and Dance Association’s Show of Champion at the University of Central Florida. Gina had to make the difficult decision to either pull the girls from the competition or persist on. In the end the decision was made to go to which the girls came home National Champions. In Gina’s third and final season as the head coach of the Warrior Dance Team they continued to juggle sporting events, school events, and ofcourse competitions. Gina hosted her first ever competition at Jupiter Community High School to which high schools in the surrounding area had an affordable opportunity to showcase their talent. Gina had the Warrior Dance Team attend the Florida Cheer and Dance Association’s South Florida Sizzler at Palm Beach Central High School for the second season in a row to which they received first place in large group hip hop, first place in small group hip hop, and a half paid bid to Nationals. She also brought the team to the Precision Arts Challenge in Ft Lauderdale where they placed first and second overall in large group hip hop, along with a precision award and crystal award. The team also was a PAC Attack call back finalist and ended up scoring higher than four other teams and receiving the PAC Attack Best in Show award. Gina also led the team to the Florida Cheer and Dance Association’s Show of Champion at the University of Central Florida to defend their title. To which they did exactly that, coming home two time National Champions. Gina has now started on a new journey to close the gap between high school dance teams and dance studios in order to create the best of both worlds and the most competitive team across the state. Gina strives to ensure her team is a safe space for everyone to be involved, while pushing her students to surpass their own limitations and expectations. Gina is owner and director of all the things under Venom Dance Company. Roy T Bennett once said, “It's only after you've stepped outside of your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform”
